I have zero faith that safe sport complaints at this level will have any immediate impact to protect a minor who is experiencing bullying, abuse, etc. from a coach or SafeSport adult. But, a part of me wonders if every parent took the time to submit every incident, it might create some overwhelming situation that requires a complete overhaul/funding of the program. One can dream.
A friend of DD's tried Safesport but did not have faith they would do anything because of how they reacted - did not seem to care. They then reported it to a state governing board for the sport and were told they had no mechanism for taking complaints about coaches. This seems outrageous because they issue licenses don't they?
