OP, you can also download the Turner Classic Movie app (it's free) - lots of great things on there.

To add to the others' list -

Anything by Billy Wilder

A Face in the Crowd
Where the Boys Are
Gigi
The Man Who Came to Dinner
An American in Paris
Rear Window

The classic musicals - Oklahoma, West Side Story, The Music Man, State Fair

Anonymous wrote:The Shop Around the Corner (the shop was a bookstore) with Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan was remade in the 50’s as The Good Old Summertime as a musical with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, taking place in a music store. The closing shows Judy with Liza Minnelli as a toddler. It was then remade with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in You’ve Got Mail, going back to a bookstore. It even references the shop around the corner. Fun to watch all three together within a week or so.

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. I own it!

Anything with either Doris Day or Cary Grant.

I would also add some musicals-
Seven brides for Seven Brothers
Holiday Inn
My Fair Lady

If you have kids, mine likely some early Shirley Temple when they were young. Then we watched most movies with
Haley Mills (original parent trap).
Family Favorites: The Trouble with Angles and The Bells of St Mary.

Rambo and Rocky. They are such good films with social commentary.

Plus, while not from the golden age of movies, I like Doris Day.

Plus three she made with James Garner

Tubi has some free classic movies. Of these, I'd watch Notorious, 12 Angry Men, The Magnificent Seven, The Seven Year Itch, and Bell, Book and Candle.

I was looking for a few of the best classics and couldn't find anything for free. Does anyone have any suggestions? Which movies should I watch and how do I watch them? Have some streaming platforms - Hulu, Netflix, Prime, Apple, Disney.
