Floss or waterpik - loosen up anything that's stuck.
Brush - to brush it all away
Mouthwash - I don't even know why...to protect the teeth? Becuase it tastes good?

My dentist told me he prefers brush first then floss. He said some think it gets more fluoride down between the teeth. He also isn’t big on
Mouthwash and said only once a day. Toothpaste has the most fluoride and by rinsing with mouthwash, which will have less fluoride, you’re rinsing away fluoride. He said mouthwash is great to use in between brushing or if you can’t brush.

I add a capful of mouth wash to my water pik. I like that it gets the mouthwash into my teeth and gums. I told a hygienist that I do that and she said she’d never thought of it and it’s actually a good idea. I’m sure someone else will say it’s a terrible idea.

I don’t floss AND pik, I choose one or the other.

I like to think once floss gets the food and debris out, the toothpaste can get into the spaces and crevices better.

I either floss or waterpik first then brush. I saw a survey once of dentists and it was like 1/3 say brush first, 1/3 say floss first and 1/3 say it doesn’t matter!

Assume mouthwash should go last so it coats your teeth for a while.

Same, when I go for cleaning, it’s the same order above too. Cleaning, brush, floss and mouthwash.

To get plaque and food out from around teeth and gums. Rinse then brush and rinse again.

I don’t use mouthwash generally but dentist suggested adding it in. I forgot to ask when I’m supposed to use it? It seems redundant, but I’m assuming the dentist is making the suggestion for a good reason.
