It used to be called "HGC" -- Highly Gifted Center, but that word "gifted" was too charged, and MCPS wanted to include more DEI in the center, so they changed the formula of who gets in, and rebranded it "Enriched" rather than "gifted". I think you can figure out why.
MCPS also has a few MS magnet programs, and several HS programs.
It's listed on their website under "Special programs"

The kid did math and writing enrichment classes in the summer and continue to do them now. She mentions how great FCPS system for smart kids, enrichment options, and TJHS etc
Thry moved from montgomery county to fairfax county 2 years ago. I love to live in monygomery county, but I feel like MCPS lacks things and limited resources compared to FCPS. I hate lottery system at 3rd grade, and it seems like it is not as great as AAP offered in FCPS system for ES, MS and HS. I currently have a smart 2nd grader in MCPS. I am feeling sad and jealous. Just a vent post
MCPS doesn't have a faux gifted program to get around segregation laws like VA.
Moco just uses real estate prices to achieve segregation
