It's pretty easy. I pulled a bunch of permits in my neighborhood to get an idea of the architects and contractors that are familiar with our house layout/ quirks.

You have to sign up for an account here and then you can search by address. Best to do on your computer rather than phone/tablet.

I'd like to see building permits online for a D.C. home near mine under renovation. I assume this is possible but I'm baffled by the D.C. Department of Buildings website. If you could guide me -- exactly -- where to go on the Department of Buildings website to do this I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
