School and kid dependent. Lots of kids go, lots of kids don’t. Let your kid decide. But for most schools if your kid doesn’t already have a ticket they won’t be going.

Kids go in groups. I would not have a kid just show up to the dance and expect to have fun. At my kids school (HOCO is tonight), both of my kids are meeting somewhere for pictures and dinner, going to the dance, and then going to a friend’s house after. They’re in two separate grades and in VERY different social groups but both have roughly the same plan so I think that’s the norm.

Lots of kids go. He should know if his friend group is going. If you are talking about the dance, ticket sales usually stop about a week before the dance and are not sold after that. The kids pick them up in the cafeteria 2-3 days before the dance.

If you’re talking about the football game, tickets are sold on Go Fan up until halftime of the game.

Do most kids go? I have a high school freshman new to MCPS and he is clueless.
