The rules do not make sense.

But also, a blender doesn't make a great weapon. The blades spin and are hard to hold.

Depends if it is made of glass.

Not sure the blades would be permitted. Can you separate the blade part and put that in a checked bag?

Why would it be confiscated?

I doubt it. Have Amazon deliver one

I would think that it would be confiscated on the side caution. I really can't imagine it getting through TSA I recommend you pack it really well in your baggage. Use bubble wrap if you have to.

You are a good friend.

Could you just purchase her one and ship it in advance?

Thanks so much! I will measure but I doubt they are anywhere close to that long.

Yes. As long as the blades aren't 8 inches long.

I am going to visit a dear friend specifically to spend the weekend cooking tons of food for her to freeze so that she can take a few months off from meal planning after some major life events have left her reeling. She has a blender but I have a better one that’s also a food processor. Do I have to check it in a bag or can I just throw it in my carry on? I am worried about it getting damaged in baggage and I am only going for 3 days so don’t need many clothes/toiletries.
