I really don't think late waitlist offers is the root of the problem at Two Rivers. If a school can't fill its seats or has enough mid-year attrition to be disruptive, those things indicate a serious problem whether the seats get filled or not. I believe their problem is weak academic instruction and poor behavior management.

It's certainly not the root of the problem. But I think it's a glaring sign that the school is in trouble and there are serious problems.

You won't be able to see or change your current waitlist positions once next year's lottery opens. Schools are allowed to take kids from their waitlists after that point, but practically speaking, there is very little chance of getting in off a waitlist in December. Schools are supposed to follow the order of the waitlist but there is not much oversight of that after it gets pulled off myschooldc.

Count day is Friday. 99.5% of schools will stop waitlists then

My question is do you still have access to your spot on the waitlist once they open the lottery application for the next school year?

I see that the new dates posted for the SY2024-2025 Lottery. With the Lottery opening December 11, 2023. Curious, does that mean that I can no longer access my application w/the active waitlists for this school year? What happens to your spots on the waitlists after this point?
