I’ve gained 7lbs in two months. Sigh.

+1 Bodies change over time and your weight is not going to stay the same for 60 years. There are tons of things that can shift your weight. Focus on how you feel and let the exact number go. Also do not listen to the person telling you are not active enough, you sound very active.

I’m a fellow tall woman, albeit taller then you are. But I am surprised that at that height and size you even notice 7 lbs if clothes still fit.

What's wrong with wearing a size 4 if that's what you always wore? Do you really feel like starving and buying new clothes? It sounds like the weight is probably muscle.

Maybe throw your scale away.

OP- I just wonder if this is what happens when you get closer to 40. In order to lose the weight I need to strictly diet right? Exercise alone won't do much?

Lift heavier.

OP - I guess I could just go on an extreme diet. But I am running around constantly with my kids and dog so I usually get light headed when I don't eat.

I walk somewhere between 13,000-15,000 steps a day. For the PP who said weight lifting isn't enough - I mean I realize its not enough without also eating well but I do eat well. I like weight lifting because I need to lift and carry my 45 pound 3 year old on a daily basis. My heart rate gets into the 140s-150s when I lift weights.

No, you should accept that you’ll probably gain another 10 lbs over the next decade.

Op - no dietary changes. I probably drink less alcohol now than I did 5 years ago so I assume that’s a good thing!

I work out 5 days a week and walk my dog 7 days a week. Work outs range from running to lifting to biking. Walks are around 3 miles a day on top of work outs.

JC why do people think "weight lifting" is enough? Walking your dog? That burns maybe an extra 100 calories a day. You are eating too much. It's not THAT complicated.

In 2018 I weighed 142 and today I weigh 149 - I had a third baby in 2020 and never lost the rest of my baby weight.

I started weight lifting about a year ago and my clothes all fit the same (27” waist for pants at 5’7”) but I just can’t lose any more weight.

Should I just accept this is where I am now? I am turning 40 this year.
