What seems to be the trend on this? My DD is not a heels girl (walks like a baby giraffe in them, prefers her "dress sneakers") but it seems like most of the Hoco pics I've seen this year have the girls wearing strappy heels?

The heels are just for the photos, and then they change into the sneakers.

I really miss Payless for stuff like this.

This isn't something to be proud of. I'd be lived if my son said something like this because of how someone dressed.

Oof, that is a troubling comment, especially paired with your use of "good girls." I hope your family digs into this and explores what it means to think someone does or doesn't respect themselves -or others.

I was a very conservative dresser as a teen, but this is just stupidly mean. There are no "good" and "bad" girls. Way to reinforce all kinds of extremely damaging stereotypes! My teen DD doesn't like to show skin either, but she's wiser than you, a middle-aged woman. She knows many kind and intelligent girls who show a lot of skin. These girls are not necessarily more promiscuous than others. Most of them don't dress for the boys, they dress to belong in certain girl circles. And while I'm sure some boys get all the wrong opinions like you, my teen son and his friends don't think better or worse of these girls. They just get really shy around them

I'm really hoping they're on their way out.
My junior asked me to start looking online for dress ideas for homecoming as she's swamped with homework. There are so many pretty dresses but in the past 2 years all the girls are wearing are the micro slip dresses or body con dresses--pretty much the most boring dresses you can buy.

Is that anyone is wearing this year as well? I'm hoping kids will branch out a bit.
