They are absolutely being persecuted because of their beliefs.
They have much more valid asylum claims than the majority of migrants who have entered illegally.

"The government’s sudden upending of the Romeike family’s life has come more than a decade after Uwe Romeike and his wife, Hannelore, fled Bissingen, Germany with their then-five children for violating the country’s strict education laws, which effectively bans homeschooling."

Really? A likely death sentence in El Salvador versus inability to homeschool?

A likely death sentence? For what reason? Violence?

I like the sense of proportion here. Don’t get distracted by fentanyl and a crush of migrants here to collapse our system; that would be a junior varsity mistake.

No, keep your eye on the ball.

German homeschoolers are the real threat.

They came 15 years ago to homeschool their kids. If the children are grown up then why do they still need to stay?

That’s like saying that if I believe in rape then I am being persecuted when the state sends me to prison. You guys have lost the plot.

Wonder how many would take us up on it? No free health care, little vacation, no disability, poison food, free education, and don't forget mass shootings. yay us

Estimates indicate there are 50,000 undocumented Irish immigrants living here already.

Literally the petition was weitten because these racist southerners are mad that “The Biden Admin” is deporting them but “not” mexicans. Which is totally clueless.

The oldest kids are married to Americans and the youngest kids are citizens, since they were born here. They could either stay with their older siblings or they could move to Germany with their parents and go to an American school there (although that might also expose them to undesired concepts).

The problem of avoiding damaging German schooling is solved, one way or another. They waited long enough.
