Reggio’s Treehouse is another NOMA option.

I love Bright Start. They have three locations, but I’m at NOMA. My baby has moved up to the Wobblers class from the Nursery. It was a little difficult for me when he first started but the teachers and staff were great walking me through what is normal. Crying is normal, it takes a while to get adjusted. Plus I love the live webcam. I watch all the time. Lol

All Bambini locations have been sold. Teacher turn over is picking up to. I am very concerned as teachers are leaving mid year.

I’ve had a wonderful experience with Bright Start! My child has been there for two years and all of staff are amazing!! Never had any issues. When I was considering, some friends encouraged me to check out their Facebook page. This helpful because you get to see a snapshot of what it’s like. I included the link if that’s helpful.

We tried Bright Start for our infant and it did NOT go well. The director wasn't transparent at all... and the teachers seemed to be too afraid to speak up. Our then 4 month old was crying for a majority of the time and ended up refusing milk for the whole day. Then we asked the teachers how he did, and all they said was he did fine, when clearly... (and it was noted on the app) that he did not drink milk that entire day and came home with a very hoarse voice.

Can't say anything about their toddler rooms but definitely had a poor experience for our then infant.

We've since transitioned into Everbrook in DuPont and it's been amazing. They're now opening an Evebrook in Noma (FERC building) but not sure if the availability is still there. We have friends starting their infant there early next year.

Is it all Bambini locations? Or just this one?

OP, did you end up sending your baby to a daycare? My LO is 7 months old so let me know if you would be interested in nannyshare. itsyou3069@gmail.com

for this much, you are much, much better off going with a nanny-share.

Thanks for giving some insight on the daycares here. The Bright Start is a new(ish) center, I think. It's on K St NE and 3rd. Are there other centers you've liked in the area?

Where is the bright start?

I toured Bambini and while it was very nice its $$$$ more than other daycares. I think it would be worth it if your kid had a severe food allergy, otherwise is over our budget.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the DC area, and am looking for a daycare for my six-month old baby. Bright Start and Bambini in the NOMA area have openings for infants, and I wanted to hear if anyone has experience or any advice to give about these two centers - or other centers in the area!

Hoping to be able to help out other parents in DC once I get to know the area!
