Sometimes I sit in our backyard to catch a minute alone. We also didn’t realize a chain smoker lived next door. No peace here either.

If it makes you feel better our neighbors smoke pot all day.

Ha‼️
Funny this topic is addressed because I am currently sitting in a cozy laundromat and there is a guy sitting on the bench next to me, watching something on his phone and the volume is up so high!! 🫨
Dude, get some headphones 🎧.

It’s only been like 20 min. but I now have a throbbing headache.

Since it is dark now I don’t have the courage as a Female alone right now to confront this loser.

But grrrr.

My emotions, including irrationally annoyed or angry, are all over the place, so yea, I get mad about petty stuff too. Peri-meno sucks in a lot of ways.

Foam earplugs.

But yeah, mowers and leaf blowers suck. Especially the gas ones because the electric versions really are a lot quieter.

Yes. I routinely have to close my patio doors and windows due to tree trimming, construction noise. I get irritated but I also understand I live on street with other houses/people. It's a part of life unless I'm willing to move to a rural area where there are acres of land between neighbors. Go for a walk, or listen to music to drown out the noise.

No. The one time I did, it was because I was in a thyroid storm and I ended up in the ER, then ICU, then surgery. Fun times. I am not someone who gets angry easily. Life is too short.

Oh definitely. Sometimes you just want quiet. I think I also sometimes get mad about noise/stimulation that is just around because I know I can't get mad at my kid or my DH for being a source of noise or stimulation. Like sometimes my kid asks me questions for 3 hours straight, or my DH is running the blender off and on for 30 minutes while my child is watching Bluey and I'm trying to clean the stove and it's like "aaaaaaaah!" But I can't get mad at them for just being people who sometimes make noise. So instead I try and get some space for myself, go for a walk, sit outside. And then if the neighbor is running his leaf blower I'm like "I hate the neighbor he's the worst." Because it's safer for me to be mad at the neighbor.

I totally feel this way too. It's like you can't get any peace and quiet. I know it's irrational. I have a neighbor who is obsessive about his lawn and landscaping and he will mow at 8 am on Saturday morning. Ruins those peaceful mornings where I just want to sip coffee in peace.

It’s a beautiful Saturday. I’m sitting outside trying to read. Earlier this morning a neighbor had a tree cut down. Now someone is mowing. Someone else is having some construction done that involves a saw. So much noise pollution! I’m so angry because it’s the weekend and I want peace in my own house! But know I am completely unjustified because it’s not as if we never have construction noise or don’t cut our grass. Do you ever feel like this?
