It's so weird, I've read maybe 6 BK books and even though I always review them positively I can never remember the plots after 6 months. They're like a prismatic vapor - lovely to experience and then gone forever. The only thing I remember about this one is the red spider in a tiny hole bit she pulls out 3 separate times.

I have the same reaction to Jonathan Franzen books - like them while I'm reading them and then forget them entirely when I'm done.

Just finished listening to this book. I really enjoyed it! Even though it took place in the early to mid 1900s, I could see a lot of what happened then is still happening today.

She is such a way with words. Some of the sentences and phrases keep rolling through my head.
