I got it at 20 weeks. Baby got Covid at 3 months old and it was relatively mild for baby but I had intense symptoms.

Since you’re passed the period where a fever would be really bad, I’d probably wait a few more weeks so (a) baby gets better immunity at birth and (b) your resistance to diseases lasts further into the winter. If you get it now, in three months (when the boost party starts waning) it’ll be just around Christmas when you will probably want your immunity to be high. I might aim for early to mid November?

I remember reading data from the original vaccine that indicated the baby had stronger immunity at birth if you got the shot earlier in pregnancy. I followed it closely because I got vaccinated at 20 weeks in 2021 when they were not recommending pregnant women do it.

At 20 weeks? Absolutely not.

I could see the argument if you were in the first trimester, but cold/flu/covid season is starting and 20 weeks is very hardy. Get the shot.

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and scheduled to get the covid vaccine in a couple days. Would you wait until later in pregnancy for the baby to be more developed? My OB said it was fine to get now, but I'm curious what others have heard. I've had all the vaccines and boosters to date, but the last was maybe last year (I can't remember). I've also never had covid that I know of, so likely don't have antibodies from an actual infection.
