I dislike public displays of nudity, religion, anger, guns, addiction, profanity, racism, underwear, discrimination, bodily fluids etc. but I get it that rest of the world isn't obligated to follow my preferences.

Isn’t all of social media performative? Showing off locations, clothes, kids, foods. . . It’s all for show on some level. Since faith isn’t tangible, this is a way to show it. I’m fine with it because it’s part of what social media is for us.

We will never be perfect and will always sin. We are incapable of being good enough to measure up to God’s perfection and holiness. We are not hypocritical because we are sinners but still have faith in God and a relationship with Him.

If the only people who were sinless, perfect, and/or “good” could speak and post about their faith in God, we would all be silent. Because none of us would have that right.

Jesus came for us, all of us.

The worse we are down in life, the more sinful and broken, the more Jesus reaches His hand out to us and wants us to be redeemed and made whole.

Being a “bad” person or doing things that are “bad” means people can’t love God and testify publicly about their faith in Him?

Sometimes is takes many years for people to change and be able to let God work in their lives. The important part is they keep trying and never give up. Fall down 7 times, get up 8.

Fall down 100 times, get up 101 times.

Some people accept God as they are on their deathbed.

God always loves us and is always going to forgive us, as long as we truly believe in Him.

Honestly the negative attitude towards people exhibited in this thread, the judgement and name calling, reminds me and strengthens my faith and love for other people who love God, are finding their faith, and are openly showing that God is God no matter what is happening in their lives.

I love quotes because I'm dyselxic and I don't really enjoy reading. A bible is a book and it has many wonderful quotes. I love historical quotes, political quotes, and inspirational quotes.

Sometimes one really hits and I will google the origin and history of it.

It's really no different than a poem.

People have their own relationship with God.

We are all sinners. All of us.

We have all done bad things. All of us

We will always sin and do bad things.

If we accept Jesus Christ and believe in God, we are Christian.

We will never be a perfect person.

We must always love God and declare our faith in Him. We won’t ever be a perfect Christian that makes people around us gasp and say wow, there’s the person that is perfect in their faith and life. That’s never going to happen.

We must keep our faith no matter how messy and sinful our lives are, and remember God is the perfect and holy One. We need Him, and his grace and forgiveness everyday. We are not holy. Only God is holy.

How is publicly acknowledging we are Christian and believe what is written in the Bible performing?

God is the judge. We don’t have the ability or knowledge or power to judge anyone. We don’t have to worry about or judge what others post on fb. It’s between them and God.

If it bothers you, what others post, don’t look at their posts.

If you have the idea that you or any other person, Christian or not, has the potential to judge anyone, perhaps you need to examine your ideas about faith and religion and your beliefs and actions as a Christian.

God knows what is in our hearts and minds.

I'm not a fan, but it's better than people quoting themselves on social media.

They are identifying themselves as Christian in public as proof that they are for him. So at the judgement they are aren’t in jeopardy of hell.
