Yes and I do. If you are close with your parents and can foresee being in a caretaker role for them, do it now before they get dementia and get paranoid/cranky about it this way it’s just in the background and they forget about it.

Aka - I see my dad right now at the donut place.

Same here.

NT 22 year old stopped sharing at 18/high school graduation

SMI 20 year old still shares his location, willingly.

17 year old still shares her location, willingly. She plans on sharing it with us in college as well. I don't use it to watch every move they make. But it is a nice safety feature. Similarly I share my location with all of them.

One of them shares location and can see ours too on iPhone. Others just turned it off after 18 birthdays. We never tracked them, unless if there was a reason to do a safety check.

We share location when we are driving to see them...or maybe they are on a long drive just so someone knows where they are but their choice.

It's popular in the Teen Forum, We have it, but never use it, we just give the app like $ 7.00 or so a month for no reason...

I use it for my adult child with serious mental illness. When that one goes missing it’s good to know if they are moving so we know they are alive. I get that it’s no guarantee because phones can be stolen or given away. But it’s helpful.

But for my others? No it’s creepy.

Our family has never used it. It seems weirdly intrusive and smothering to me, even for young teens and tweens.
