Fun things just happen organically. You can plan to do something romantic and it might fizzle. You can plan a boring night in of frozen ravioli and a leftover bottle of wine and wind up having an electric night.

Last summer we were hiking out west and it was hot so we decided to skinny dip in a lake. Suddenly, a large group of hikers decided to make a rest stop near our location and it was a hoot trying to exit the water. When my husband realized that they were all adults he simply walked out and waved and I soon followed. I almost hurt myself laughing. I’m sure someone pulled out their smartphone and posted something!

This sounds so cute and i am envious that you seem like a person who can let go mentally of all the things required of adults on a regular basis and just enjoy the moment! How old are you guys?

Spontaneous things like hopping in the car and just driving backroads in the country, finding a hole-in-the-wall place to eat, not caring about schedules or caring for anyone else.
Surprising each other with a vacation and just instructions to take off work for such and such dates and pack clothes appropriate for warm weather.
Hiking and rewarding ourselves at the end with a nice dinner and dessert.
