Tell him to google Ryen Russillo (not a typo) and his balding story. your son will like his podcast if he likes sports!

Monoxodil is worth a shot.

My husband was balding in his 20s and got plugs. He regrets it every day of his life. Please tell him to embrace it and shave his head.

Yes, there are options. Check Reddit.

I slept with a very attractive balding math PhD student when I was in my twenties. His lack of hair had no impact on my attraction. FWIW.

Yes, he's super self-conscious about it. It got pretty aggressive in the last year. He wears a hat basically every day now, which he can sort of get away with at college, but he's going to have to have a real job soon.

I was under the assumption the hair transplants these days really aren't that aggressive?

Please don’t suggest he grow a mustache or beard to deflect people’s eyes. It doesn’t work.

He should start shaving and owning it. Not a big deal once you get used to it.

I’m married to a guy who started balding in his 20s. Honestly it’s no big deal for a lot of women. My father is bald, my brother, and my husband. Hair is overrated. How about redirecting his insecurity so that he can focus on his strengths? My husband is super fit and a huge outdoorsman/skier and has an awesome sense of humor. My dad is extremely smart. My brother has charisma that makes me a bit envious - he can walk into a room and own it. None of these characteristics require hair and women will find them super attractive. You know what I (and many others) don’t find attractive? Insecurity.

If mommy is helping to solve their adult son’s thinning hair problem you are making the problem worse. Just tell them to shave their head, get rock hard abs, and a career they love. I find that super sexy.

So is mine. I don't feel bad for him though. I could think of many worse things.

However I am supporting him in what he wants to do to fix it.

Genetics from his father's side. Are there any prescription pills or creams (?) to slow this or better yet, help him grow hair back? He has an appointment scheduled with our family doctor the next time he's home. Obviously there are costly hair transplants but spending whatever that costs isn't something we're really wild about. I assume good ones are upwards of $50,000? Then again, I'm assuming you want to do that sooner than later, right?
