Thats every AAU team, its musical chairs. If your kid is good enough to play alot, you think she should be on a better team. If shes not playing, you sre looking for a team where she will get more playtime. Everyone on an asu team has ine foot out the door.

Yes. We had a FCYBL B team girl who went and played Vogues in MS and loved it. Ended up playing HS varsity as a freshman.

Impressive. What school? I assume not Madison.

Yes, I think it'll be a good fit as long as you can stomach losing a lot of games. Go to the free clinics these upcoming Sundays and you can get a better perspective.

Vienna field 2 teams in the winter. The A team is comprised of AAU players and most go to other teams in the spring. A lot of the B team players would play for Vogues in the spring.

For our DD's year, Vienna 2 is Elevate 2. We know one girls who followed that coach to the Vogues and switched to Elevate over the summer.

Most Vogues players are from Vienna that played on the Vienna Select/Travel Winter team(s).

Vogues loses all of the good Vienna players to Elevate and Stars. The only reason they get any is because one of the Vogues coaches typically coaches the 5th grade Vienna team. If your kid really likes playing and is competitive, look elsewhere

Does anyone know when their next tryouts will be? Presumably for Spring season. And are most girls local to Vienna area?

Agreed with the previous post. The problem with playing for a less competitive team, your competition is usually better. There will be games were you lose by 20-30 points, but at least your child will get meaningful playing time and good practice sessions, which is invaluable for a player's growth. But after losing constantly, it does play a mental/emotional toll to justify the time and money commitment. Vogues is an excellent organization that focus more on player development than winning. Competitive players/parents usually lean towards other AAU programs. Just be true yourself and your child's skill level.

Vogues teams are typically less competitive but can be a good starting point for a middle schooler who wants something more than rec/house but doesn't have parents ready to start hyping their 11 year old on social media! It was good for my daughter when she was still balancing multiple travel sports. I think that's harder to do with teams who have 7th graders and up on a college track.

Does anyone know much about the Vogues? DD is interested in trying out for AAU in the Spring and we've heard a couple of mentions of them but can't seem to get real time information. Are they decent?
