They also don’t have plus and minus letters to differentiate. And a lot of redos are allowed.

This doesn’t apply to rmib.

The people who have posted earlier are outliers. Most kids DC knows do not have a 4.0 unweighted. They have a B here and there.

The link doesn't give you the gpa, but it gives you all the other academic stats.

That’s a mistake. For the whole school

Thanks for the link. Is it me, or do these SAT scores seem surprising low?

The Mean SAT scores for the Class of 2022
Evidence Based Reading and Writing: 645 Mathematics 652 Total - 1297

I would have expected significantly higher scores for the RMIB class of 122 students, especially in reading/writing.. so I must be missing something here. Aren't Blair SMCS SAT scores in the 700+ for each subject, and similar at TJ over in VA?

It seems to me that these scores are for the whole class of 2022. Not just the IB student.

This is the link for the school profile. It does show gpa ranges. Over 50% have between a 3.5 and 4.0uw. https://www2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/contentassets/791d9e3ecf514dffa7e5f8b8cffd2a27/5451_23_rmhs-profile.pdf

MCPS has the easiest grading system in the country. A 4.0 UW is pretty easy when 79.5 and an 89.5 = an A

they get two types of grades:

the regular A-E grades for their GPA
IB grades 1- 7 that is not part of the GPA

DS has an unweighted 4, don't know how he ranks in the program overall.

My DD, a RMIB senior, has an UW 4.0 through Junior year. The kids don’t talk much about grades so she doesn’t have a sense of how she ranks. She is not at the tippy top of difficult classes. I’d say she is above average difficulty but not extreme.
