Get a hotel room at a fun hotel in DC like The Line in Adams Morgan where you can have dinner & drinks.
Sleep in, read and relax.

Honestly, I would get meet up with a friend for dinner/drinks and then go to bed and wake up at noon the next day.

Because in a hotel you don’t think about what you should be doing (chores, cleaning, yard work) since you don’t own the hotel

Amazing!!! Lucky you! Annapolis would be fun. There are cute little stores downtown that my kids and husband do not have the patience to explore. Alternatively, Old Town Alexandria?

I have from 12pm on Friday to 12pm on Sat for a solo staycation, kid and husband free. I'm in Rockville area but can go a short ways away - 1 hour max.. Looking for something relaxing with some shopping. I'll probably stay at a hotel. Any ideas of an itinerary?
