Yup, this. I’m have good spatial awareness and it doesn’t add much time for me to back in. Regardless, I don’t mind wait a few minutes for someone to back in if it reduces injuries.

Because they love to zoom out when they drive off?
Because they like to make a big production and stop traffic?
Because they believe that is the best way to park, no matter how long it takes?

I back in because of the number of accidents that happen pulling out. People speed up and down the aisles not watching for people backing out.
I also hate gauging when pulling in and backing in as 10000 times easier.

DH thinks it's time spent upfront to prevent possible accident when leaving. Engineer friend does it by habit because required for safety protocol at work.
