I don't unless there's a school shooting level situation going on.

Never text a student during the day. I wouldn’t text after 9pm, but I’m old-fashioned.

I’ll be the voice of dissent and say I think it isn’t a big deal to text during the school day. My high schoolers only check their phones when they’re allowed to (lunch) and often text me then with logistical questions. I do think OP will have a better chance of getting a quick response after school, though!

I left my freshman DD babysit until 11 on weekends. She makes bank!

As a parent, I'd be annoyed if you texted her during the school day.

It's not hard to set a reminder

Parent of a teen here. Do you know her school hours? Some school districts have the high school kids go later hours (like Loudoun county.) I think they start after 9 am. Most schools post the hours on their website.

10pm. And no, don't text during school hours. Send it after 3pm or so.

Of course you don't text her during the school day. Set a reminder for yourself.

Set an alarm. How do you manage other aspects of life?

Seriously, you think it's ok to text a high school student while they are in school for babysitting. NO

This. Have the text already typed out and just hit send when the timer goes off.
