My 8th grader has a college backpack with a laptop compartment that she uses for her chromebook. Then a normal, slim binder with tabs for various subjects, and a few lightweight notebooks (not the cardboard kind) for the classes that require them. The name of the game is lightening the load.

We got the Case-It one that a lot of kids are using (zips up, has a pocket for the chromebook and a shoulder strap), but one of the rings just broke. Basically, would like something like the Case-It but won't break. Any suggestions on what's worked for you? I'd like this to be my last binder purchase of the year!
Maybe you got a defective case it because both of my kids used their case it for all of their middle school years.
