I use it sometimes...as a dip for apple slices because you can change the consistency to what works well. I don't like that is has sugar as I buy PB that is 100% PB.

Peanut protein is not processed at all--the peanuts are just mechanically crushed--so no processing.
Now soybean protein is--it uses hexane to separate.

I am pro-fat because it keeps you satiated. I sometimes put PB2 in protein shakes because regular PB doesn’t mix well but otherwise real PB all the way.

It’s expensive and tastes gross, imo.

I think the point of it is that it’s lower fat. But I’m not worried about a couple fat grams. Just eat less real pb.

I would skip it. While yes it has less calories and fat, it doesn’t taste nearly as good and satisfying as the real thing.

Just use real (natural) peanut butter or almond butter and enjoy it. Those are super self stable, so I wouldn’t worry about being the only one using.

I use it in banana smoothies and in peanut sauces for dinner. Good for giving peanut flavor without the bulk of peanut butter. I don’t know that it has much to do with weight loss.

I didn’t know PB2 is supposed to help weight loss. I used to use it in chia pudding- which is supposed to help weight loss. I’m not sure if it did. I was very thin but this is mainly because I exercised like crazy and I probably had a bit of an eating disorder.

You could also put it in overnight oats.

I never tried PB2, in its initial heyday. People still using this?

A fit coworker uses it, and besides witnessing that (actually last year, since we switched grades), I’ve had a little peanut butter craving lately. Apple + pb.

For a while I used natural pb or almond b. But I’m the only one in the family & didn’t feel like it was worth the rising cost.

Anyway, is PB2 still a good strategy for weight loss and maintenance?

What are some recipes you’d use? I looked up on Google — really too complicated. I’m not here for “recipes” but “thrown together foods in a bowl or blender.”
