I've been interviewing and may soon be getting an offer (fingers crossed!) but then I think what a terrible idea it would be to leave, to walk away from all I've earned, especially with about 10 years left before I can retire. I've looked around internally too, but nothing has come up that fits my skills or seems all that interesting, and I don't think my office would let me go either.
If you've faced this kind of a decision, how did you handle?
I get it. I’m also about ten years from retirement a plan on changing roles in a few years and then again a few years after that. Life’s too short to spend doing something that isn’t fulfilling.
