They don't specify, in any meaningful detail, what that means, but that's what they said in school board meetings.
It's unbelievable if that is the real reason, and ridiculous if the BOE didn't push back on the sorry excuse. Why can't they just buy extra books to supplement the materials?
Infuriating. So more kids will fail to learn to read.
Why? The already provided RGR for K-2 and schools can get the Benchmark Supplements.

The BOE is in lock-step with MCPS on DEI being a top priority so I wouldn't have expected any different from them.
