Salmon is quick and easy to stick under the broiler.

But heart issues really vary in terms of restrictions. What are your loved ones restrictions?

Poach salmon and you can make salads or salmon burgers with it.

Tuna fish, can put on salad or rolls/wraps

Soups are good but hard to make them palatable with low sodium.

Ask what they eat at home!

Homemade soup

Make your usual turkey sandwich, but with a turkey breast that you roasted with minimal or no added salt (or other meat if they don’t like turkey)

The key to low sodium is cooking it yourself from scratch, instead of canned / deli counter versions of the same thing

Just ask them what they normally like to eat for lunch and get that.

Do you think you could sketch out the boundaries we are working in more specifically? What are the preferences, allergies, refusals, health goals (low sodium, avoid processed sugars, etc.) that would make answers useful to you?

Thank you.
Person has heart issues, so I’m going to try to do low sodium. They do not like chicken.

Quiche? Why does a turkey sandwich not work? The sodium?
A poached chicken breast and rice and some steamed vegetables?

The person has heart issues so my normal Turkey sandwich won’t work. They aren’t a big salad eater. Grateful for any suggestions.
