Yes, many times. I felt that way about Sweden, actually. Like it just feels really good to be there, everything seems set up to be conducive to a good and happy life. When we came home I thought a lot about how much about our lives here (DC) are difficult for reasons that don't have to exist. It's eye opening and hard to forget.

I feel this way about Charleston SC. We went 20+ years ago and still today I long to go back there and spend an extended period of time there.

PP who loves Sanibel, I also really like Sanibel too. It holds a special place in my heart, it's where we did our babymoon some 24 years ago.

Mountains of Colorado- Love it there and dream of moving there one day/actively planning how we can at least retire out there.

British Columbia, Canada- the mountains get me ever time.

Berlin (Germany, not the little town on the Eastern Shore, but that is a beautiful place, too!)

I traveled a lot in my 20s and lived in a few different countries. I felt like this with some of the places where I stayed. I don't think it's uncommon. My in-laws really love a country in Europe and eventually bought an apartment and spend half their time there.

It's a short life. Go where you feel happy.

OP is there a way for you to travel there on a visa and stay for a while? Life is short, if you feel this connected with Norway you should really try to figure out a way to spend more time there, maybe move there one day.

Ironically, I'm waiting on my DNA results in 2-4 weeks. My dad grew up in an orphanage so we are unsure. Definitely have Swedish on my maternal grandmother's side, but I'm looking forward to seeing the results. That's a really interesting theory though- maybe I'll be surprised.

I love Geneva. Not to be a tourist. To live there.

I love Norway too. My favorite place so far is the Lake District in northern England. I felt a deep connection almost like I was finally home.

We recently got back from two weeks through Scandinavia and oh my god we absolutely loved Norway. I have been to a LOT of places in the world and nowhere has ever just clicked so easily with my soul. I honestly feel like I'm homesick for Norway now that I'm back in the US which I've never felt before. The people, the nature, the culture, the parenting- everything just resonated with us.
