You don't need weight loss drugs, you need mental health therapy. You are getting older and your body will change and there is NOTHING you can do about perimenopausal redistribution of subcutaneous fat. Learn to accept it. Get therapy if you can't accept it on your own.

This. You are already thin. Also, it will get worse as peri and meno hit.

You can’t target fat loss without surgery.

I’ve lost 32 lbs on ozempic and still have a slight belly. Ozempic isn’t going to target that area for you. Sounds like you need toning, not weight loss.

Have you tried deep core exercises? It's like you have mild DR and need to strengthen your deep (beneath the abs) core to help repair the gap from having pregnancies.

Sure. Go see a plastic surgeon. They will write you a script for Wegovy without judgement.

Medically you do not need to lose weight. You will pay out of pocket for the medication—about $1200/month plus of course the cost of the visit to the PS.

You’ll start out on .25 if you can find it and be prepared to be sick. Felt like morning sickness for the first few months. At your height/weight, I would imagine it will take you until the 1.7 or 2.4 dose to start seeing weight loss. You can only go up 1 level each month. Even for significantly over weight people, once the big drop happens over the first few months, the weight starts to come off slowly.

I know a couple of people who have tried this and they had horrible side effects. It doesn’t seem worth it unless you’re obese.

I can’t get rid of the belly fat any other way though. I’ve tried Pilates and barre. Belly pooch won’t budge. I think it must be fat that needs to be lost before muscles will show.

No way would Ozempic be appropriate for you.
Let’s get this right. Ozempic is for diabetics Wegovy is for weight loss.
Even if you understood the correct drug, this is not an appropriate vehicle for you to lose weight.

Belly or not, 5’7 and 125 sounds underweight

So I’m 5’7 and weigh 125. Early 40s. Starting to develop a belly that looks first trimester ish. I really want to be 120 which is what I was in my 20s before 3 pregnancies. No matter what I do, I cannot lose those 5 lbs.

Would Ozempic work for this? Would I have a hard time getting a Dr to give me a prescription som e I do t “need” it?
