My district uses MAPS. I don't know how often. Is it crazy to have a lower elementary kid "prep" for MAPS by taking a practice test at home and chatting about the format and the problems? My kid doesn't get much tech at all at home, doesn't have a tablet, and I expect all MAPS testing is done on iPads. I was thinking having him try one on my laptop would help him do his best at school. I also wonder... do other parents do this with their kids or have I gone full-on crazy here now?
What purposes are they using the test for? Does the test result have a specific impact on your child?
