Because + means it's just putting them together and getting the sum. X indicates you get more when you put them together. I think it makes sense for what they're trying to say

OP, language constantly evolves. A language that does not change is a dead language in a dead civilization. This is maybe the concept that was eluding you. Embrace change, even if you don't use it yourself.

It signals a collaboration and multiplies both brands' impact. It's more meaningful than simply + or and. Way better than an em dash — which can look subtractive
