OP here. Thanks so much for your responses! I'm so encouraged! Will make an appointment with them. I don't mind getting older but I'm SO very tired of the notion that menopause is 'natural' so we should just put up with the symptoms. Thanks, again!

Dr. Winterling is great! I just had a discussion with her about HRT and she is fully supportive.

I love Dr Winterling. Didn’t start seeing her until I was in my 40s and done having kids.

Yes! Just saw Dr.Winterling and started HRT about 2 weeks ago. She’s great! Also heard great things about Dr Porter. They are certified menopause specialists. Dr Winterling was thorough, gave me options, and listened. I go back in a month to check in!

I need to find a new medical provider to help me manage menopause. I'm unhappy with my current providers' attitudes of, well, that's menopause here's some vaginal cream. They refuse to consider HRT even though I'm not at high risk for negative side effects. I went to menopause.org to find a certified professional in my area and found Healthcare for Women in Falls Church. Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks!

FWIW - I highly recommend you follow Mary Clare Haver, MD on social media. She's an amazing font of research based information on women's reproductive health, particularly for those of us who are pre/midst/post menopausal.
