Not "many". Unless it's drastically changed since admission standards shifted, they used to make you double up freshman year to catch up.

No, we are not. OP, go ahead then and see what happens to your child in the very unlikely event they get in. Set up children for success and high self esteem not the prestige of TJ.

Yeah, it would be expunged for their gpa but wouldn’t it also be expunged so TJ couldn’t see it either?

Is your child interested in TJ or are you?

Expunging a HS class grade from a MS transcript is pretty easy, or so I have been told. You have to request it within a certain time frame. You cannot do it after the child has left MS. A friend had her child's C in Spanish 1 expunged from his transcript and he retook it in HS. I do know someone who tried to have the Algebra 1 Honors in 8th grade expunged but they waited until the child had started HS and were not able to do so.

A B+ in Algebra is nothing to be ashamed of.


NP. Do you mean that expunging a grade is on record and may suggest a worse grade vs leaving the B+?

Also, how would one expunge a non-failing grade? What kind of sob story would you have to come up with to explain a B+ that might affect one's TJ odds? I think you'd have better luck with a D.
