A Biology student with a B+ in Honors Algebra in 7th is fine.

Please listen to this poster! Good candidates for TJ sail through algebra, often in earlier grades if they are allowed.
These posters are attempting to reduce competition, likely for their own kids or community members. Don’t listen to them.

You cannot do it after the child has left MS. A friend had her child's C in Spanish 1 expunged from his transcript and he retook it in HS. I do know someone who tried to have the Algebra 1 Honors in 8th grade expunged but they waited until the child had started HS and were not able to do so.
I would think that an expunged grade for Algebra would make it hard to apply to TJ. You have to have completed 2 honors math classes to apply. I am not sure how an expunged honors class would work in that situation.

Probably won't affect ability to apply, but it would be a huge red flag in the admissions process.
A B+ in Algebra is nothing to be ashamed of.
