DCPS numbers are downright scary. Most schools average 800-900. That’s well below the national average, meaning most of those kids are basically ready for community college, at best.
You may want to fact check me on this, but I read that nearly all DCPS students take the SAT, so those numbers are a true reflection of all students, including lower performing ones. At most schools just the college-bound students take the SAT’s and, with TO, many kids are circumventing the test altogether. So apples to oranges! (Although don’t get me wrong, that’s still a low average)
