The only ones I know were immigrants who brought their parents to the US later - mainly for childcare.

Yes I know several people. I’d say at least 1/4 of my peers have financial help going to parents in some fashion. Most of them are white Americans.


What about of those between 30 and 40?

How do you know they don’t? I have a large circle too but most of them I have no idea their financial details or whether or not they send financial help to relatives.

It seems to be pretty common on here for adult children in their 30s, and even mid-to-late 20s to be giving financial help to their parents.
