I’ve posted before about the amazingly positive experience I had this summer finding a solid used car with the app CoPilot. It is much better than anything else I’ve tried (CarGurus, CarMax, Carvana, cars.com, Consumer Reports Marketplace, FaceBook, Fitzmall.com, and the various car buying services from Costco, AAA, etc).

You can search by type of car and narrow by all kinds of cool factors based on their importance to you, including vehicle options, CoPilot’s star ranking of the value of the deal presented, their ranking of the dealer, and more that I have not seen anywhere else. It even tells you if it is a good time to buy or if you should wait!

I have been buying cars for more decades than I care to admit and this was the most stress-free car buying experience ever!

Yes, lol. When they say it is a hot car, it indeed is HOT as it overheats. If they say it starts and drives they mean it will start after some time and it does drive but not how you want it to. Maybe in limp mode because it has engine issues, or loud because the CAT got stolen off of it.

Just bought a used car and Facebook was by far the best. Just to warn you, there are a lot of independent dealers advertising on Facebook. I would avoid these guys like the plague! If you are looking to buy from a private party, just look for cars that still have the license plate on the vehicle. I would say maybe 10% of cars for sale are private party.
