Honestly, 9 out of 10 dates should be like this. I mean how many people do you have chemistry with in real life? Also, people are dating for a purpose, so even if they "like" you but don't "like like" you, they're not interested in hanging out and being friends or investing time to see if something will grow. This guy is being respectful of your time and honest about his feelings. You don't need to know more. It affects you but it's not about you, and it's nothing you can or should try to change.
