What was the schedule like? How many hours per day, how many days per week, how many weeks?

DP here. My kid who is a fast worker who isn’t easily distracted spent 1-2 hours a night on health this summer. The work is straightforward but there’s a lot of it. FWIW it’s clear the teacher didn’t actually read most of the assignments and just gave out As.

The other procrastinates, whines about the amount of work and ends up taking twice as long to do anything. School is harder for them, but they bring it on themself

Right -- as the PP who posted the details above about how much work and time it was for my kid, I should say that she is diligent and disciplined in getting her work done. Not sure how much harder or more annoying it would be for a kid who tends to procrastinate.

Anonymous wrote:My kid did Health A in the evenings last spring. She went into it expecting that she might need to do ~1 hour/day of homework (5-7 hours/week) for it and that was a reasonable expectation. Some weeks were less, some were more. Some of the weekly seminars ended early, so that gave extra time. There were usually 2-4 assignments and 1-4 quizzes assigned each M, T, and Th, with the seminar on W and everything due on Friday. Late assignments weren't accepted, so it required some time management and planning, especially given a couple of field trips and overnight trips to work around (but it's possible to work ahead, which my kid did on weekends before busy weeks). It was a lot of work but doable and my kid is glad to have done it; thinking about signing up for Health B this spring.

That is very helpful. Thanks

Asking about the class that runs in the fall. I believe it meets once a week for seven weeks.

Is it possible to get the bulk of the work done during the mandatory seminars?
