I can totally imagine it because I have an HD radio and can listen to the bluegrass the plays all the time on 88.5 HD2.

We just don't have a single radio in our house. 39yo. Our cars have them of course and I grew up with them.

I used to be a devoted listener. Now a lot of the pieces are not of any interest to me so I don’t listen, pretty much, ever. They lost me.

I’m a loony far lefty and have quit NPR over the last 10 years. So no, it’s not pitching to loony far lefties.

Not me! Used to be a loyal NPR listener but I find it insufferable now.

the national evening news and marketplace are both still good.

So you listen for just a few minutes and then complain that you didn't hear what you expected to hear.

I listen to the radio in the shower each morning and I flip between NPR, Elliot in the morning and WTOP. I try to catch NPR at the top and bottom of the hour for news. Today they started the news not with any remarks on September 11th but rather with more talk about Trump indictments. Then they moved onto local sports and it was 90% devoted to the Mystics (female basketball) and not a single word about the Commanders win for the first time in this post- Snyder era. The Nats loss to the Dodgers got no mention.

It struck me that they have just really, really jumped the shark. Is it only for looney far lefties now?
