+1. This is insane. There has never been a constitutional right to concealed or open carry. Concealed carry laws to ALLOW the practice were enacted starting in the '80's. Not a great sign when gun control proponents don't even know the history of gun control.

If you know the history of gun control then you know that in Heller, SCOTUS affirmed that 2a is NOT an absolute right.

The governor of NM, Michelle Lujan Grisham, issued an emergency order on Friday suspending the right to carry guns in public across Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County for at least 30 days following recent instances of gun violence.

Although the right to carry is codified in the NM Constitution, she claims that in the event of emergencies, the rights as outlined in the constitution can be temporarily abolished.

Even some of the most ardent gun control activists don't agree with her.

If you agree with her EO, what other rights can be abolished "in the event of an emergency?"
