Red Apron has the best fries in DC.

Good Stuff's fries aren't amazing (they could be if they made them crispier) but the sauce bar more than makes up for it.

It's cheating but Taco Bamba's Bamba Fries are god-tier. Not because the fries themselves are anything special but because what's not to love about cheese, sour cream, guac, carne asada, and chorizo on fries.

Every server denied it, but I’m absolutely certain that Woodmont Grill/Houston’s had a dusting of sugar on their fries. It was odd but pleasant on a well cooked fry. Haven’t been for ages.

I don’t know, but reading this is a nice nudge for me to see if the place in Baltimore that had shoestring fries fried in duck fat is still there.
