I don't make light of it. I'm serious. I would have had a major breakdown and killed myself if I'd been stuck in that hole for 4 yrs.

Friends sent two kids there. Last I knew, they were liking the campus and student life.

We visited the area for a high school game, and it’s definitely remote. The location on the water is also pretty.

I know a graduate who is an entrepreneur and financially successful and happy with life. He liked the school a lot.

Lastly, I know a B student who attends now and is very happy to be in the rural area and loves the campus size. SMCM was a top choice for them.

Not a good choice for humanities students.

It’s very popular with kids from my MoCo school. Small liberal arts education at a public price tag.

If you’re interested in any school to pursue an engineering degree from a partner school, ask them exactly how many kids have successfully done it. I’ve heard that these are rarely used at many schools. I have no info about this one in particular.

My sister had a great experience there several years ago. Nurturing environment yet challenging academics with small classes and supportive professors. The area is somewhat rural and isolated, but she enjoyed the connections with nature and made great friends. Other students I met were smart and engaged.

Have you visited it yet? It's really remote.

I can't seem to find much first hand experience about the school but did read that a few years ago it partnered with Washington University in St. Louis to offer a dual engineering degree.
