Even the cutest girls from the fanciest privates all look like cheap Vegas or game show hostesses. So unfortunate….. but my prom years were pretty pitiful too. White eyelet and pastel ribbons in the early 80’s. Does anyone remember Gunne Sax from late 70’s early 80’s?

The dress is for her and her friends. Creeps are going to be creeps no matter what she wears and if someone is a creep it’s THEIR FAULT even if she picked a slutty dress.

There are a lot of reasons teens pick dresses we think are too short/tight. They want to be smaller, they want to be older, they want to be cool they want to be sexy they want to feel like someone or change into someone else or be exactly who they are.

None of that hurts anyone, imo. I just don’t think this is a good parenting hill to die on because it’s much more about our feelings than theirs and our feelings don’t really need to go to homecoming. It’s not for us.

+1 - DD ordered one from Dillards this year that she's happy with. Plus they ship very fast.
