What do you mean by your ANC won’t do anything? What did they say when you brought it up with them?

I've been in DC for 30 years. I would not have moved to Petworth then or now. There have always been random shootings in Petworth. Always.

It’s happening all over. I’m in Brightwood and it’s basically construction on every other block. It’s DC Water projects, but be thankful their equipment isn’t in front of your home.

It’s been going on since February.

My hometown is full of downtrodden goobers and racists, hard pass.

I wanted Petworth to be better than it was when I moved in in 2021.

This is real city living, touch luck. You chose to move to Petworth, if you could afford to move elsewhere financially you would not have moved there. How dare you denigrate a neighborhood full of people and yet moved there because you could not afford better.

Your other option is to sell and move to the burbs or your home town.

This has not been my experience related to home construction but there is A LOT of road work happening throughout the neighborhood. What contruction projects are you referring too?

They’re all in favor of it. They want developers to build as much as humanly possible. They think it will bring down housing prices (wishful thinking). More development means higher prices, not lower prices.

Has anyone noticed how the construction in the area has made it basically unlivable? blocked streets, plywood and noisy construction have me fed up. My ANC won't do a damn thing and Christina Henderson refuses to help
