Digital Literacy in 6th grade didn’t count? I thought that’s why schools like Farquhar and Rosa Parks forced students to lose an elective to take Digital Literacy.

Technology and computer science are two different things and the state mandates what technology is and what things need to be in the classes.

The freshman engineering class in PVHS SMCS satisfied the tech credit. It will be one of the required courses at Blair also.

The computer science and engineering pathways are a little weird. If you only take the first course in a sequence, it will count for the tech credit. But if you continue in the sequence for your “completer”, then you have to take a different tech class to meet the requirement. (no double dipping - the same course can’t satisfy two requirements)

Sorry I’m not following this - can you clarify? In 9th Blair magnet kids take fundamentals of computer science AB. Looks like only A qualifies. Shouldnt the kid’s schedule list the tech credit as in progress? So if B doesn’t qualify then 10th grade classes would have to meet the other .5 credit?
