Current PK3 parent. Have had a great experience at the school and with our teacher. There is a PTA and when they do events are the school (like a holiday dinner) there is great turnout. Principal does communicate a lot and hosts monthly engagements with parents too.

The school is closed to parents meaning they can only enter the building when allowed during special occasions. Teachers and principal send a ton of communications. It's a safe environment.

Historically, the principal was not very welcoming to wealthier, whiter families moving into the neighborhood. Maybe things have changed? Also historically the test scores were very low. Ergo, most people in bounds for the school who didn't fit the mold of the students the school served in the past started attending on of the many charters that are easy to get to from our neighborhood.
