There is no indoor pool county pool in Wheaton.

I don't know if this would be permitted at any MoCo indoor pool but you'd need to ask them what the rules are.

YMCA? I go to the Bethesda one and there are parents who give lessons. I think you’d need to add the teen to your membership though.

A teenage lifeguard at our summer pool is a child whisperer, and I would like to pay him to keep working with my SN teen through the winter. Lifeguard is open to the idea.

Any suggestions on pools where he could give lessons without being an employee of the pool? Could they just go in and have teen say he’s “babysitting” if asked? Also, since my kid is an adult sized beginner, we'd need a pool where the space is conducive -- so deep enough water for teen to stand (not a baby pool) but not a shared lap lane and not super crowded.

I would be open to paying for a membership, if there's a pool that would work well.

We are in Silver Spring, but willing to drive.
