Yes, that’s right. Instead of OP actually engaging with her neighbors and building relationships with the families that live in her actual community, she should toss her indignation over to the school to deal with. Administrators are just sitting around with nothing to do and have endless hours to figure out which kids might have been at this particular bus stop and then extract some confession out of them.

You’re bonkers.

OP— good for you. Those kids should be reported and disciplined by the school. I would follow up with a phone call if the principal doesn’t respond to your email.

My principal told us he typically gets 300 or so emails each day. Sounds like he triages them and your was way at the bottom of his list of importance.

You don't even know these kids' names right?

It's still the same day. IF you get a response did you think it would be immediate?

You just reinforced for those boys how much fun it is to swear.

Principals don't often even reply to teachers

I think OP is being ridiculous and sounds like she has younger kids but I do think a principal could include something in their regular emails about disruptive behavior and language at bus stops.
Principals do have a stake in making sure their students represent themselves well to the community and are good neighbors.

Keep in mind that an MCPS principal is responsible for 1000+ kids. It's unlikely that you know the bus number, and even if you did the principal has no way of knowing which kids ride which bus, and where they get on.

But even if by some miracle the principal knew which kids rode which bus and which of those yelled the F word, what comes next?

Nothing. Nothing comes next because this is not a school issue

They are obliged to respond to emails from the parents of students, they are not obliged to respond to emails from disgruntled strangers.

Are you actually an adult? Sounds like you are tattling on these kids because they laughed at you.

That being said, unless you have identifying information about the kids, I think your complaint is hard to follow up on.

Thanks, I'll take it to Next Door.

I honestly can’t tell if this is a joke… Somehow NextDoor managed to create an even more toxic social media platform than Facebook. Nothing good ever comes out of posting on NextDoor.

Seems like an issue for their parents to address.

My kids don't attend that school, but there was an incident at the bus stop where the middle school boys yelled the F word while waiting for the bus. I went outside and talked to tell and told them to watch their language in public. When I left I noticed a kid flapped me off and they while all laughing at me, I emailed the principal and still no respond.
